Celebrate!

This weekend we celebrated birthday number two for Baby J. And I guess that means I should stop calling him "baby."

We had a few presents for him. His first was a wooden tool bench. With tools and nuts and bolts, and all the fun stuff.

Then he had to use his new wooden saw to open his present from Nonny.

We also got out the piano to give him. And of course the boys loved it. Jonas actually likes to stand behind it and play from the back. He's going to be one of those crazy piano performers.

Daddy got the tool bench all set up for him. I worried when we bought it that it was going to be too small. But it's the perfect size for him.

During nap time I worked on baking him a cake. I went simple on this year's cake. We picked up this little pack of trains at Hobby Lobby the night before. A little bit of green frosting, brown sugar, and powdered sugar and the cake was done.

We enjoyed dinner with some friends then brought out the cake. Jonas blew out his two candles. . .

. . . with a little help from his brother.

Jonas enjoyed a bit of cake, then spend the rest of the evening spooning frosting off the top with the little trains and licking it off them. (Why else would mom have put them here?)
